The Challenge

We were commissioned by Hapag-Lloyd Cruises to produce TV commercials and photos for their 2026 voyages – in a location where others go on holiday: aboard a cruise ship, in full operation, in the middle of the sea. Together with the creative agency loved GmbH, we developed a campaign that brings the feeling of freedom, luxury and adventure to life – under conditions that were anything but ordinary.

The film was shot on a route from Ibiza via Almeria, Malaga, Tanga and Portimão to Lisbon. Between Zodiac tours, private beach dinners and life on board itself, an authentic insight into what makes Hapag-Lloyd Cruises so special emerged: first-class cuisine, design, relaxation and experiences of the highest standard.

Photographer Jana Gerberding captured the journey visually, while DOP & Director Jens Sage brought the TVC to life. Véronique Tristam took care of styling and props, and Linda Sigg handled hair and make-up, ensuring the perfect overall look – a well-coordinated team that got every detail just right, even on the high seas.

A project that demanded the utmost in logistics, creativity and timing – and that is precisely why it became a campaign full of atmosphere, emotion and authenticity.
